In response to SEAT setting a new record for a FWD production car at the Nürburgring , Renault developed the 275 Trophy-R to retake the title a few weeks later. The record was reclaimed with a Nürburgring lap time of 7:54.36. The Trophy-R is 101kg lighter thanks to Öhlins 

dampers, 19" Speedline Turini wheels and Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres. Interior changes see the deletion of the air conditioning, stereo and back seat. The Trophy-R also beat the records of several others circuits, Suzuka, Fuji and Tsukuba and with only 30 UK cars built, is a rare and sought after hatchback.

This rare 275 Trophy-R is one of just 30 UK car and is finished in Oyster grey metallic with Recaro bucket seats and fitted with the following:

 

  • Single-piece polycarbonate seats, painted glossy black and upholstered in leather and alcantara, savings of 22 kg.
