Details

The "GT3" nameplate was introduced in 1999 as part of the first generation of the Porsche 996 model range. As with Porsche's previous 911 RS models, the 996 GT3 was focused on racing, and so was devoid of items that added unnecessary weight to the car. The Mezger engine is naturally aspirated and based on the unit used in the Porsche 962 and Porsche 911 GT1 race cars.

This Mk1 996 GT3 is finished in Guards Red with a black leather interior and the following options;

  • Carbon Bucket seats

  • Red seat belts

  • Carbon Centre Console

  • Carbon interior trims

  • Air-conditioning

  • CDR22 CD/Radio

  • 18 inch GT3 wheels ( Fully Refurbished )

The car has covered just 30,613 miles and the service history is as follows:

20/10/1999 – 62 miles – Porsche Centre Evans  Halshaw – PDI

15/11/2000 – 7,290 miles – Porsche Centre Evans Halshaw

05/02/2002 – 16,294 miles – Porsche Centre Northampton

22/05/2003 – 23,389 miles – Porsche  Centre Nottingham

23/12/2005 – 27,851 miles – Northway Porsche

29/01/2007 – 29,071 miles – Autostrasse

07/07/2009 – 29,667 miles – Autostrasse

01/10/2010 – 29,737 miles – Autostrasse

16/12/2020- 30,354 miles – Center Gravity for suspension set up and alignment

18/12/2020 – 30,500 miles – MCP Motorsport, Full service including all oils (engine, gearbox and brake fluid), spark plugs and filters along with new coil packs, new bushes and a complete set of radiators.

The car has 4 recorded owners and was owned by the last for 14 years, who purchased the car from Northway Porsche specialists, and in that time has only covered 2,000 miles. It was not MOT tested in this time and therefore it can perhaps be concluded that the car could not have been used on the road and was thus long-term stored. The current owner was told by the previous owner that it was started up and driven regularly on private land to keep the car ticking over. It has been re-commissioned recently with a major service and suspension set up carried out. It also had a Bilstein factory shock absorber internal overhaul service and various bushes/arms replaced prior to be being fully set up by Centre Gravity. It has no adverse over-revs recorded and the engine hours tally with the recorded mileage. The car has all of it's original paint other than a localized blow in on the driver's side front wing (verified by paint depth readings)
