In 2017, Aston Martin announced a limited, track-focused iteration of the V8 Vantage: the Vantage GT8. The company would only manufacture 150 cars, 50 more than the GT12. The GT8 features the same 4.7-litre V8 as found in the base Vantage but with power now increased to 440 bhp, and has a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h). The GT8 is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed Sportshift II automated manual transmission, and has a kerb weight of 1,510 kg, a 100 kg reduction over the V8 Vantage S.
