The Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 Coupe for the North American market was the top variant of the Carrera 2.7 available between 1974 and 1975 and only 395 were produced. Cosmetically identical to Carreras sold in other markets, the U.S. version was fitted with an emissions-equipped, 165 bhp 2.7-litre engine with K-Jetronic fuel injection with power delivered through a Type 915 five-speed manual gearbox. G-series Carreras had flared front fenders and widened rear quarters to accommodate wider Fuchs forged alloy wheels and larger tires. Replacing the simple “burzel”, or ducktail, introduced on the 1973 RS 2.7, the 1975 Carrera’s rear spoiler was larger and rubber-edged. Its effect was balanced by a rubber front air dam. The new G-series cars also received new high-back driver and passenger seats and a leather-wrapped “Sports” steering wheel.

This lovely 1975 911 Carrera 2.7 for the USA market is finished in Guards Red with a black interior and has the following specification:

  • 2.7L engine with CIS fuel injection

  • 5 speed '915' manual gearbox

  • Electric windows

  • Electric sunroof

  • Blaupunkt Denver radio cassette

  • 15" Fuchs alloy wheels

  • Original 'Whaletail' spoiler and RS style ducktail both with car

  • Carrera script to sides

It is showing 41k miles which cannot be verified but we believe may be true as the underside of the car is in very good condition with no signs of rust or previous welding - it had long-term Californian ownership which has obviously helped a lot with its preservation.

It is currently fitted with an RS style 'Ducktail' spoiler but also comes with its original 'Whaletail' rubber lipped spoiler too. It has its original book pack with manuals, service book and metal stamped Customer Identification Card - it was originally delivered on 27th February 1975.

There are invoices for recent servicing back to 2013 and it has its original spare wheel and tool kit too.
